Cambridge Trust (University of Cambridge)
Cambridge Trust Masters Studentship (International Fees)
The Cambridge Trust's fee-only award for taught master's students. Around ten studentships a year cover the international tuition fee for a one-year master's (MPhil, MASt and similar) in any subject at any College. You're considered automatically when you tick the funding box in your University application, and selection weighs financial need as well as academic merit. Living costs are not included, so you need another source for those.
Application round
There is no separate form: apply for your course in the University's Applicant Portal, say you want to be considered for funding and answer the extra Trust questions. Submit the complete application, including references, by your course's funding deadline, 8 December 2026 or 6 January 2027 at 23:59 GMT (06:59 the next morning in Thailand); the course page shows which applies. Awards are made between early March and the end of July; if you've heard nothing by then you weren't selected.
The IELTS requirement
The Trust sets no English score of its own. Cambridge courses set theirs, and most postgraduate courses ask for IELTS Academic 7.0 overall or higher with minimums in each component. The score isn't needed to submit the application, but you need a conditional offer to be considered for funding and the English condition has to be met before you can take up the place, so plan the test for before or soon after the funding deadline.
