European Union (Erasmus+ programme)
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarships
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are one- to two-year master's programmes run by consortia of universities in several countries, with the EU funding scholarships for the best-ranked applicants. Thai students apply directly to the programme they want; there are more than 200 in the official catalogue.
Application round
Deadlines are set by each programme. For courses starting in autumn 2027, most scholarship applications are due between October 2026 and January 2027; a few run into February or March. Use the official catalogue to find programmes and their dates.
The IELTS requirement
There's no Erasmus Mundus-wide IELTS score. Each consortium sets the requirement for its programme and usually wants the certificate with the application, so you need the result before that programme's deadline. For English-taught master's programmes, 6.5 overall is the common ask, with some at 6.0 and some at 7.0, so check the exact requirement on the programme's website before you book a test.
