The Jardine Foundation (Jardine Matheson)
Jardine Foundation Scholarship (Oxford and Cambridge)
Since 1982 the Jardine Foundation has funded students from Southeast and East Asia at Oxford and Cambridge. Thailand is one of the eleven eligible countries. From the 2027 intake the Oxbridge scheme is for postgraduates only: you need an offer from one of the four partner colleges at each university, and the award is paid for up to four years of full-time study.
Application round
Apply to your course first. For the Cambridge route (Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship, run with the Cambridge Trust), tick the funding box in the University application and submit by your course's funding deadline, 8 December 2026 or 6 January 2027 at 23:59 GMT (06:59 the next morning in Thailand). For Oxford, apply by your course's December 2026 or January 2027 deadline; from 2027 you must name a partner college such as The Queen's as your first preference. Shortlisted applicants then complete a separate Jardine form, usually in February or March.
The IELTS requirement
The Foundation sets no English score of its own. What matters is the offer: the scholarship is only confirmed for applicants who receive an offer from Oxford or Cambridge, and both universities make the course's IELTS requirement a condition of that offer. Oxford and Cambridge postgraduate courses typically ask for IELTS 7.0 or higher with minimums in each component, so check your course page and plan to have the score before the offer deadline.
