Korea University (KU)
Korea University Scholarships for New International Undergraduates
KU's package of entrance scholarships for its International Undergraduate Admission track. The admission evaluation decides who gets the Anam Global, KU STEM, Global Leader and other awards, and the result arrives with the admission decision.
Application round
The Spring 2027 round took online applications from 3 August 2026 (10:00) to 31 August 2026 (17:00 Korean time, 15:00 in Thailand), with mailed documents due by 7 September. Scholarship results were announced with the admission results.
Next round
KU hadn't published the Fall 2027 application dates when we checked; look for them on the Global Services Center site in early 2027. The Spring 2028 round is expected in August 2027.
The IELTS requirement
No English score is attached to the scholarships, and KU sets no general minimum for admission either. Most programmes are taught in Korean: TOPIK level 5 or higher lets you skip Korean training, level 4 means one semester of it and level 3 or lower two semesters. English proof (TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic, valid two years) is mandatory only for the International Studies English track, and the Global Open Major needs IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 100 to enter an English-track major. If you plan on an English track, aim for 7.0 and submit it with the application.
