Monash International Leadership Scholarship
Monash's biggest award for international undergraduates. It pays all your course fees until you finish the minimum points for your degree, and there is nothing to apply for: Monash picks the recipients from students who already hold a full, unconditional undergraduate offer. Only four are given each year, so grades need to be exceptional.
Application round
There is no scholarship application and no closing date: Monash considers every eligible unconditional offer holder automatically. Deferral is only allowed within the same calendar year.
The IELTS requirement
The scholarship has no IELTS score of its own, but you're only in the running once your Monash offer has no conditions left, which means your English requirement must already be met. Monash undergraduate courses commonly ask for IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, and some (such as Education and Law) ask for more, so check your course page and have the score ready before you apply for admission.

What it covers
- 100% of course fees until the minimum points for your degree are completed
- A place in the Campus Ambassador Program from your second semester
- An invitation to apply for Monash Minds, the first-year leadership programme
- OSHC, accommodation and living costs are not included
Who can apply
- International student from any country, including Thailand
- Hold a full Monash undergraduate offer with no conditions, for full-time study at a Monash campus in Australia
- Selected on academic achievement; four scholarships a year
- Not available to current Monash students, students doing an Australian Year 12, Monash College or Foundation Year pathway students, transfers from other Monash campuses or Australian universities, or the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine
- Keep a WAM of 70 each semester, take part in the Campus Ambassador Program and provide a student profile for Monash marketing
