Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore)
NTU ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship
NTU's merit scholarship for citizens of ASEAN countries other than Singapore, awarded for the normal length of the degree. You apply for admission first, then fill in the scholarship form linked at the end of your application, with a 250-word essay and a teacher's appraisal.
Application round
For AY2027, Thai Mathayom 6 applicants can apply from 15 October 2026 to 20 January 2027. Submit the admission application first, then the scholarship form. Your referee's appraisal should follow within about two weeks. Year 12 applicants are interviewed within two months of the NTU offer.
The IELTS requirement
The scholarship has no English test of its own, but NTU admission does, and an approved English test is mandatory for Thai Mathayom 6 applicants: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.5 in Writing and Speaking, TOEFL iBT 90 (25 in Writing and Speaking) or SAT 1250 with 600 in Reading and Writing. Results must be submitted by the application deadline and be less than two years old, so sit IELTS before January 2027.
