Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)
POSTECH Scholarships for International Undergraduates
POSTECH began admitting international undergraduates directly in Fall 2026, and every admitted international student receives a tuition waiver plus a package of allowances automatically. Programmes are in STEM fields and taught in English.
Application round
POSTECH's first international intake (Fall 2026) announced results on 5 January 2026, so that round's applications closed in late 2025. The Fall 2027 schedule had not been posted on the admissions site when we checked.
Next round
Watch the Admission Schedule page at adm-iu.postech.ac.kr; based on the first intake, applications for Fall 2027 are likely in the second half of 2026 with results in early 2027.
The IELTS requirement
No IELTS score is attached to the scholarship, and the admission pages we could reach don't publish a minimum either, so check the current admission guide. The only IELTS figures POSTECH publishes are for placing new students in English courses: an official score sent by the end of August, or the TPO test in January, places you out of the lowest level from IELTS 7.0 (7.0 Speaking, 6.5 Writing). Aim for 6.5 or higher before you apply so a score is ready when it's asked for.
