University of Sheffield
University of Sheffield International Postgraduate Scholarship 2027
Sheffield's regional scholarship for taught postgraduate students from selected countries, and Thailand is one of them. There is no form: if you hold an offer for a full-time taught master's starting September 2027, are self-funded and have lived in Thailand for the last three years, the £7,000 reduction is applied to your fees once you accept the offer by the deadline.
Application round
No application is needed. To receive the award for September 2027 entry you must accept your course offer by 4pm UK time on Tuesday 6 July 2027 (22:00 in Thailand).
The IELTS requirement
The scholarship sets no IELTS score; your course's requirement applies. Sheffield's common postgraduate requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, and some courses ask for 7.0. If you fall short, you can take a pre-sessional English course alongside the master's and keep the scholarship, as long as you accept both offers. Either way, have the score before the July acceptance deadline.
