Trinity College Dublin Global Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships
Trinity's regional merit award for international postgraduates. It's a modest one-off fee reduction rather than a full scholarship, but it's open to Thai applicants in most taught master's courses and the application is short.
Application round
For 2026/27 entry the deadlines were 1 April (the Americas), 1 May (Africa), 15 June (other regions) and 15 July 2026 for South East Asia and Oceania, via a short online form. Awards are made on a rolling basis; only successful applicants are contacted.
Next round
Trinity hasn't published the 2027/28 dates. Expect a similar pattern, with the Southeast Asia deadline around mid-July 2027, and apply as soon as you hold an offer rather than waiting for the deadline.
The IELTS requirement
The award has no IELTS requirement of its own, but you must already hold a Trinity course offer, and Trinity's taught master's courses typically ask for IELTS 6.5 overall. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis, so having your IELTS result early enough to get the offer early improves your chances.

- A one-time tuition-fee reduction of €2,000 to €5,000, depending on your region
- Not covered: living costs, travel or insurance
Who can apply
- Non-EU fee status, billed at the non-EU rate
- Holding a course offer for a full-time postgraduate taught degree at Trinity for the relevant year
- Not available for business, engineering, natural sciences, or computer science and statistics courses (separate awards exist for some), and not for students from China
- Assessed on academic achievement and your potential contribution to the Trinity community, with regional and programme diversity in mind
