Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC)
Thai Government Scholarship (OCSC, general public, degree level)
Scholarships the Thai government offers each year to fill skills its agencies need. You study abroad at no cost, then work for the agency that sponsored you. Each award (unit) has its own field, degree and destination.
Application round
The 2569 round ran from 14 November to 24 December 2025, with applications online at scholar.ocsc.go.th.
Next round
The 2570 round hasn't been announced yet. Recent rounds have opened between mid-November and December and run for about six weeks.
The IELTS requirement
You don't need a test score to apply: selection uses OCSC's own written exam, which includes English. After you win, you need IELTS 6.0 overall (or TOEFL iBT 79) for an English-taught course, plus an admission with no English conditions. Scholars who can't reach the score can lose the scholarship, so it pays to start before the results come out.
