University College Dublin (UCD)
UCD Global Excellence Scholarships (University College Dublin)
UCD's flagship awards for international students, open to anyone classed as non-EU for fees, Thai applicants included. You need an offer (or conditional offer) for an eligible programme first, then submit a separate scholarship application before your region's deadline.
Application round
For 2026/27 entry the deadline for applicants from Southeast Asia and other regions outside North America, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia was 31 March 2026. Results are released via SISWeb about seven weeks after each regional deadline.
Next round
UCD says applications for 2027/28 entry will open in November 2026, with dates to be confirmed by early November. Going by 2026, expect a deadline around the end of March 2027 for Thai applicants, and earlier for some other regions.
The IELTS requirement
The scholarship itself sets no IELTS score, but you can only apply once you hold an offer, and UCD's English entry requirement for most programmes is around IELTS 6.5 overall. Because UCD warns it can't guarantee that admission applications are processed before the scholarship deadline, apply to your programme early with your IELTS result already attached.
